EUSR 1&2

Course Objectives and Certification

This course provides comprehensive training on underground legislation, excavation, and groundworks, including key regulations such as HSG47 and CDM 2015. Participants will learn to interpret utility drawings, use cable location devices, identify hazards, and understand the limitations of detection equipment. The course also covers risk assessments, permits to work, and safe digging practices. Upon completion, participants receive an EU Skills - EUSR SMART card or Virtual Registration, along with an Electronic Groundforce Training certificate. EUSR qualifications are valid for 3 years and require renewal before expiration to remain on the EU Skills register.

The Energy & Utility Skills Register (EUSR)

EUSR 1&2 provides essential training for individuals working in the utility sector, focusing on health and safety awareness, industry regulations, and best practices to ensure safe operations in the workplace.

This module is aimed at operatives that are required to survey land prior to excavations, to locate underground services and incorporates Unit LA of the Street Works Module - Location & Avoidance of Underground Apparatus.

Certification

Candidates will receive a SHEA Passport Card upon completion of the course.

NRSWA Street Works

This will teach you how to safely carry out road works, covering topics such as notification procedures, safety measures for road users, and reinstatement standards.

After completing the SHEA Power qualification, candidates will receive a SHEA Passport card used by operatives, supervisors and managers to gain operational site access across the power sector.
